Awarded Honorary Fellow of the HK College of Physicians (13th Congregation of HKCP, 8 October 2011) for his contribution to training and accreditation in general and respiratory medicine, and building up of an invaluable link with mainland and overseas sister colleges of physicians (first Chairman of HKCP's Specialty Board in respiratory medicine (1992-2000) and formulated the foundation for postgraduate training and accreditation); Chairman of Examination Committee of HKCP (1995-2004) and oversaw MRCP exams in HK including the first 4 years of PACES in HK; Vice-President and first Chairman of National & International Liaison Committee of HKCP, and international advisor for Hong Kong for the Royal College of Physicians of London (2004 - now), of Edinburgh (1997 - now), and of Glasgow (2005 - now).
